Attractions

Forbidden City

This magnificent complex in Beijing was once the imperial palace of 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties, with a history of over 600 years. It is the largest and best-preserved ancient wooden architectural complex in the world.

Temple of Heaven

One of Beijing’s most symbolic historic sites, where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties held ceremonies to worship heaven and pray for good harvests. Its architecture is full of cosmic philosophy: the Circular Mound Altar symbolizes "the heaven is round and the earth is square", and the acoustic design of the Echo Wall is hailed as an ancient "black technology".

Badaling Great Wall

As the most iconic section of the Great Wall in Beijing, it was built in the Ming Dynasty and is known as "one of the nine strategic passes in the world" for its grandeur, steepness, and well-preserved condition. The highest point, "Hero Slope", is 888 meters above sea level, offering a spectacular view of the vast mountains after reaching the top.

Summer Palace

The largest and best-preserved imperial garden in China, known as the "Museum of Imperial Gardens". Covering 290 hectares, this garden was built in 1750 by Emperor Qianlong to celebrate his mother’s birthday and later rebuilt by Empress Dowager Cixi, becoming a political and leisure center in the late Qing Dynasty. Boat tour of the Summer Palace included.

Old Summer Palace (Yuanmingyuan)

Once the most magnificent imperial garden in Chinese history, known as the "Garden of Gardens". This Qing Dynasty imperial garden, first built in 1707 and expanded over 150 years, integrated the essence of Eastern and Western architectural art.

Dule Temple

A thousand-year-old ancient temple with Liao Dynasty wooden structures, representing one of China’s ancient architectures. Here, you can see the "Pavilion of Guanyin" inscribed by Li Bai after getting drunk; it is also the starting point where Liang Sicheng and Lin Huiyin surveyed China’s ancient buildings. Visiting here, you will understand what "eaves extending like wings, brackets (dougong) grand and sturdy" means. A professional guide will lead the visit and explanation, and you can experience mural restoration.

Five Great Avenues

Known as the "World Architecture Expo", it has over 2,000 Western-style mansions, originating from the concession period in the early 20th century. Many Chinese and foreign celebrities once lived here, including Qing Dynasty emperors, princes, Republican presidents, premiers, and even a U.S. president. Each mansion holds a story of a dynamic era.

Porcelain House

A building decorated with numerous antiques, renovated from a century-old French-style mansion. It used over 700 million ancient porcelain pieces, more than 13,000 ancient porcelain vases, and over 4,000 ancient porcelain plates and bowls to decorate and transform the French-style building. Here, you can see porcelain pieces from kilns of various dynasties in China.

Ancient Cultural Street

The center of old Tianjin culture, where "first there was the Tianhou Palace, then there was Tianjin". Today, it features Tianjin’s intangible cultural heritage, folk customs, and snacks, such as Niren Zhang (clay figurines), Yangliuqing New Year paintings, Lianshengzhai embroidery, cross-talk, Shibajie fried dough twists, Goubuli steamed buns, Jianbing guozi (pancake rolls), Chatang (sweet soup), sugar paintings, Shuli gao (steamed pear cake), etc...
